In responding to a BiE letter calling upon MPs to support Harriet Harman's clause on EU residence rights, SNP's Kirsty Blackman MP has accused the Government of railroading Brexit through Parliament, comparing EU (Notification of Withdrawal Bill) with the Defence of the Realm Act 1914 four days after the start of World War 1.

The MP stresses in her response that the SNP voted to maintain the closest possible relationship with the EU and to protect individual rights and liberties, including the rights of EU citizens living in the UK.
